    Description

Ham Supply Overlay for Ameritron AL-82, AL-1200, and AL-1500 Amplifiers.
Do you have an Ameritron AL-82, AL-1200, or AL-1500 amplifier?  These are fine amplifiers for sure, but the front panel markings leave a few things to be desired.
We offer a panel overlay, made from the same durable plastic and the same surface finish as the factory front panel, which glues over the original panel using 3M double-sided adhesive.  When the overlay is in place, it looks absolutely stock.
Why would you want to change the way your amp front panel looks, you ask?  The pictures tell the story:
    Ameritron Plate - OLD
    Ameritron Plate - NEW
With the factory PLATE label the band suggestions are often way off, and there is no scale. With our panel overlay, you get a proper scale.
    Ameritron Load - OLD
    Ameritron Load - NEW
With the factory LOAD label there is a scale, but it is difficult to write down values from it, because there are only three divisions per unit: one quarter, half, and three quarters. With our panel overlay it is much easier to write down where the knob should point.
    Ameritron Band - OLD
    Ameritron Band - NEW
The factory BAND label doesn't show what positions to use for 30, 12, or 10 meters. The Ham Supply label does.
With the Ham Supply/Idiom Press panel overlay, you can finally make a proper band chart! Here's how the amplifier looks with the Ham Supply/Idiom Press panel overlay installed (click to enlarge):
The Ham Supply/Idiom Press label is easy to install, and comes with alignment aids and the necessary Allen wrench to remove the knobs.
