Description

This is the starting of a homebrew power supply for a 3CX800 or 3CXP800 tube amplifier or any other amplifier that can use
2900 volts DC @ 1.4 amps.
Professionally made chassis with a plywood bottom to support the massive transformer.
The round hole in the top of the cabinet cover is for a small fan. The new fan and grill is included. The top cover is also slotted to provide air-flow.
Has a 1.4 AMP Heybour plate transformer that was purchased new and never used. Please see the primary and secondary windings of the transformer. The transformer weighs about 70 to 80 LBS.
Also has a fully populated WD7S rectifier and capacitor board included.
It will run only on 240 volts. The lower voltage taps on the primary are for an RF deck fan, and other 120 volt loads. All of the transformers have 240 volt primaries, including the control transformer and the filament transformer. There is a large rheostat for adjusting the filament voltage, fuses, circuit breakers relays, step start resistors etc.
All you need do is assemble it.
