GOLDEN EAGLE 1K TUBE LINEAR AMPLIFIER

Description

Golden Eagle 1K Linear Amplifier acquired from the family of the original owner. The only testing done on this amplifier was "power-up." And that it does. I don't have any way to further test an amplifier of this magnItude. And even if I did, I don't play with high voltage tube equipment. Considering age, use, this unit looks to be in excellent collector condition with a few small marks here and there. To my eyes it appears to be complete except for the power cord strain relief(dedicated picture.) I removed the top cover and took a couple of photos so that you can see what your getting. When powering up I turned on all switches to show the corrosponding indicator lamps illuminate. Due to age, a long period of non-use, and the inability to test this unit is offered for restoration and sold as is. I checked off "non-working" becuase I honestly don't know if it works or not. I would rather state this vintage unit needs service than say it works if have no way of testing it. As most of you know, electronics that are 40-50 years old need some kind of service. After a half century most equipment remembers how old it is after initial use. As previously stated, I believe this unit to be in far better cosmetic condition than the average vintage amplifier. Before use I would recommend a tech. knowledgeable in tube electronics go over this unit for both operation and safety concerns. Due to the nature of the beast there are no returns on this unit. Please view the auction photos. What you see is Exactly what you get. NO UNPLEASANT SURPRISES. This amplifier will be professionally packed by Kinko's Fedex. I will choose their most complete packing option. Also, I will use bubble wrap inside of the unit to insure safe arrival. The tubes are in tight with tube caps on the tube tops.
